Topic: MAISA welcomes new personnel

Topic: ISDs have increased role with the Great Start Readiness Program(GSRP)

MDE and MAISA conducted a webinar on 8/18/11 to provide an opportunity to learn about the new role for ISDs in Early Childhood Education. For 2011 the GSRP program funding will be coordinated through ISDs. This transition process was a joint effort of MAISA and MDE. Additional responsibilities for the management of Early Childhood grant funding are slated for 2012. The complete webinar and presentation attachments are posted on the MAISA web site.

Topic: Regional Data Initiatives (RDI)Project update

The RDI project will continue to be coordinated through MAISA for the 2012 school year. New personnel, expected to join the project in the next round of funding, will provide regional assistance coordination in addition to project management that had been provided through MAISA in the past. Additional information will be available on the MAISA web site soon.
