MAISA is holding a special drive-in meeting on Educator Evaluation for ISDs. This informational meeting will cover educator evaluations and the role of MAISA and ISDs, legislative requirements, and an update from MDE. All MAISA member ISD superintendents and appropriate first-line administrators are invited, as well as key MDE personnel. This drive-in comes as a response to a memo from the State Budget office regarding the approval of MDE’s spending plans related to educator evaluations ($14.8 million in School Aid), which can be accessed here: http://www.gomaisa.org/sites/default/files/Educator%20Evaluation%20Reserve%20Fund%2012-28-15.pdf
Location: MASB Board Room, MELG Building, Lansing
Time: 10:00a – 2:00p (lunch provided)
In preparation for this meeting, we would like to poll our member ISDs to find out if they have an evaluation model to use for ISD supt. evaluations and if they are willing to share that model with our members. This poll can be accessed here: http://goo.gl/forms/tE5xPbSNfz
Additionally, the following memo was sent today from MDE on educator evaluation implementation tools:
Educator Evaluation Supports and Grant Programs
