Description:Ionia County Intermediate School District serves 10 school districts of Ionia County i an area of 576 square miles. There are approximately 11,440 public school and 533 non-public students. The Heartlands Institute of Technology at the Ionia Educational Center provides the Career & Technical Education programs. There are center programs for special education students operated by local districts and the ISD. The ISD is a part of REMC8, a three-county consortium and part of a Kent County purchasing cooperative.
