Description:The Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency serves 13 school districts covering 2,786 square miles. The ESA operates a community based internship program and seven of the nine K-12 districts participate in vocational/technical education programs at Northern Michigan University and Marquette High School. Special Education classrooms are integrated within the local school districts with funding support from a variety of local, state and federal sources. The ESA provides a wide range of consulting services as required. The Early On Part H Program and Great Parents / Great Start for Marquette and Alger Counties is coordinated by the ESA. The K-12 curriculum and instruction areas are supported through consulting services from the ESA. Marquette-Alger RESA is the fiscal agent for REMC 21 which serves Delta-Schoolcraft, Dickson-Iron, Menominee and Marquette-Alger Regional Educational Service Agency.
