Description:Shiawassee Regional Education Service District (SRESD) established in 1962, located in Corunna, serves eight local school districts. In 2004, approximately 14,314 public school students and 640 non-public school students were served. Shiawassee County is semi-rural with a business base of light manufacturing located between Saginaw, Flint, and Lansing. The SRESD offers data processing services, media technology and distance learning services, programs for gifted & talented students, services for at-risk students, business/industry/education coordination, special education services, general education services, career-technical education/school-to-work services and automated substitute calling.
